None — it is the same currency. PLN is the international code of the Polish złoty (like EUR for the euro), and zł is the everyday abbreviation you will see on price tags. 10 zł = 10 PLN.

For everyday amounts — no. Polish anti-money-laundering law requires identification only for transactions from the equivalent of 15,000 EUR.

Is this the former "Kantor U Górali"?

Yes — the same exchange office at Floriańska 37 and the same owner. We changed the name so it says out loud who we are: the black sheep among Kraków's exchange offices — the one that plays with open cards. Full buy and sell rates on display, 0% commission, no asterisks. The name changed; the rules didn't.
